What is booksleuth.club?

booksleuth.club is a site of book-themed puzzles. Right now there’s only Story Sleuth, where you guess a book from a short summary and a few revealing clues.

How can I contact you?

How can I support the site?

Playing and sharing the site with friends helps a lot. You can also leave a tip on Ko-fi for me and my dog’s treat fund. My doggo already gets plenty of treats though, so there’s no pressure at all. Just playing already means a lot to me.

Playing & Progress

Is it free to play?

Yes. booksleuth.club is completely free to play, with no micro-transactions or hidden fees.

Do I need an account to play?

No. There are no user accounts at the moment.

Can I play on mobile?

Yes, mostly. The site should work in the browser on phones and tablets, but mobile support is still a work in progress. If you spot anything that feels off on a smaller screen, please email [email protected].

How is my progress saved?

Progress is saved locally in your browser and stays on your device. It does not sync across devices or browsers, and it will be lost if you clear your browser data, switch browsers, or play on a different device. See the privacy notice for more detail. If you’d like cross-device progress in the future, please email [email protected] and let me know.

Accessibility

Can I use a keyboard or screen reader?

Yes. You can navigate booksleuth.club with your keyboard, and screen readers are supported. The game never relies on colour alone to show what’s happening.

What should I do if something isn't accessible?

If something doesn’t work with your keyboard or screen reader, feels hard to use, or just seems off, please email me at [email protected] and let me know. I will look into improving the website.

Transparency

Are you sponsored by any of the authors or publishers featured on the site?

No. I'm not sponsored by, affiliated with, or paid by any of the authors or publishers featured on booksleuth.club. This is an independent project, and the puzzle choices are my own.

Are you using AI?

No, I do not use AI to generate the puzzles. But I do use AI for some implementation work. I’m a software engineer, and I use AI coding assistants in my development workflow.
